Adventures in map-making

Despite having a professional cartographer as my main character and working on this series for four years, I didn't have much in the way of maps. A few years ago I made one for my main country, but the rest of the continent remained a mystery. It was time to unravel that!

It’s still very basic since I haven’t really worked out much about geography or locations yet, but here’s the start of a map of Concordia I made using inkarnate.com. Concordia is the main country where most of my fantasy series takes place.

Maps of the Artisans' Guild

I’m so intensely proud of these maps/blueprints! This Artisans’ Guild is a really interesting building where a bunch of my fantasy series takes place. It’s been powered and shaped and adjusted by magic for so many centuries that it almost has a life of its own. (In this country magic works through art.)

Maps (layouts) of the carnival wagons




My characters are part of a carnival troupe, so they live in what I call carnival wagons until I can think of a better term. They’re something like a cross between a cabin and a motor home.
